He inherited his deep blue eyes from his father, Liam Gallagher. But that aside, Lennon Gallagher is a far cry from the bad boy image of the legendary Oasis frontman. The experimental sound of his band Automotion contrasts sharply with his father’s Britpop. Gallagher, who lives in London, patiently poses in Paris while filming for FAZ magazine, appearing kind and polite. After work, the 25-year-old grabs a beer and chats.

Lennon Gallagher, you are a model and a guitarist. What plays a bigger role in your life: fashion or music?
I started modeling and playing guitar in a band at the age of 16. It would be difficult for me to choose between the two, for me they belong together. Sometimes I feel more like going and shooting, other days I can’t wait to rehearse with the band.
Why did you form your band?
The idea was obvious. My father is a successful musician, this fascinated me. But it wasn’t just that. My mother listened to a lot of music at home, through her I met Nirvana and Kurt Cobain. I often watched footage of his concerts, particularly the Reading Festival in 1992, and thought: I want to be like that, to be on stage and play the guitar like that.

The denim shirt with tweed buttons and the La Montre Première Sound watch with integrated headphones are from Chanel. The shirt is by Dries Van Noten.
Did your father teach you to play the guitar?
No, but he was the one who made me learn an instrument. I started taking guitar lessons at the age of ten, but stopped after just two years. I was just a kid and had other things on my mind. When I later started the band, I obviously regretted it. I had to re-teach myself a lot of what I actually already knew.
What music did you listen to at home?
My mother listened to David Bowie. But obviously also the Beatles: I am named after one of them. My father’s music also influenced me. I often went to his concerts. When I was old enough for bars I started going

The earring with emeralds and the necklace with emeralds in white gold come from the collection of 150th anniversary of Piaget Haute Joaillerie.
Is life on the tour bus like the one you experienced as wild as you imagine?
Well, we don’t mind a drink, but when it comes to working with the band, we’re boring. The tour is tiring and we don’t have time to get drunk after the shows. We try to go to bed early because we know we’ll be out and about for a long time the next day. We can’t party until four in the morning every night.
One would have expected a different response from Liam Gallagher’s son.
Hey, I’ll do my best to look good here in the interview! No, seriously: I decided to be good and sensible for the tour, as I always do. But of course there will definitely be other evenings every now and then.
Do you discuss songs with your family?
As soon as I have a rough mix, I play it for my mother at home. The problem is that she is my biggest fan and always thinks everything is amazing. My father is different. He likes my music, but he would never just say, “This is great!” Gives constructive criticism and suggests what I could improve. But obviously I don’t always listen to it.

Does this bother him?
No, he takes it calmly. Our music is also a bit strange – in a good way. It’s just a very different style to what he normally hears.
How do you feel about his musical style?
I love him. The Oasis is fantastic! We can’t wait for the return tour. So many people have wanted it for so many years, and now it’s finally here. I will be present at most of the concerts.

I can’t say anything about it because I don’t know. It’s not unlikely. Gene opened for my dad’s “Definitely Maybe” tour earlier this year. He has his own band, Villanelle, the guys are amazing. It’s nice to be surrounded by so many musicians.
I’m very interested in this. And not just because I work as a model. I have always liked dressing well and creating my personality through clothes. My mother and I argued a lot because I stole her vintage Céline and Yves Saint Laurent clothes. He shouldn’t read this, but half the things in my closet are actually his.

The Napapijri jacket I’m wearing today would have been one my dad would have liked in the 90s. Her fashion sense is great, but I find it easier to get away with stealing my mom’s clothes.
I usually get an oversized jacket, baggy pants and a nice pair of shoes. But halfway through the show I’m too hot. Then I take off my jacket and end up looking boring.

In a way yes, but I’m actually shy. I know it’s not suitable for a musician in a band, but I just wanted to make music. The fame is the unpleasant part for me. People are always nice to me, but I would still prefer to have some peace and quiet.
Always be professional: be punctual, polite and don’t expect everything to go your way. My parents have a great work ethic and have always worked hard to provide a good life for me and my siblings. I have great respect for that.

Et and layer it over a fitted outfit. I love mixing styles and making bold statements with my fashion choices. It’s a reflection of my personality and how I feel, and I enjoy the freedom of expressing myself through what I wear.
Fashion is not just about clothing for me—it’s also tied to my heritage and the creativity I see in my family. When I look back at the clothes my parents wore and the artistry in their styles, it inspires me to curate my own unique look. I think there’s something special about having that connection, whether it’s borrowing clothes or wearing pieces that remind me of them, adding layers of meaning to my style choices.
Speaking of which, I just recently discovered a vintage shop that had some amazing finds! I love the thrill of hunting for unique pieces that have their own story to tell. It’s like a treasure hunt, and when I find that perfect item, it feels like I’ve uncovered a little piece of history that I get to incorporate into my wardrobe. Whether it’s a statement necklace or a classic jacket, every piece adds to my collection and helps define who I am.
