Taking stock of the money that has been spent by the “Other Person”, as well as the amounts that have entered his accounts, Konstantinos Polychronopoulos stated in the interview he granted to ANT1: “I am not a saint, but I have never been an exploiter”, adding : “If I go to jail, it will be for taxes”! Referring to the reports that emphasized that he lived a luxurious life, Polychronopoulos initially claimed that “99.9% are lies” and added: “I can’t say it’s a lie that I used to go to luxury hotels. I didn’t pay them, people paid them for me to go and cook. In Mykonos, I stayed in a hotel for 1,000 euros a night, but others paid for it.”
According to what he said, so far 9,000,000 euros have been spent on food, while “there are over 2-3 million euros for all expenses, gas, bills for the “Other Person”. As he also admitted, some of this money covered his personal needs and household expenses, as he had no other resources and his mother received a pension of only 288 euros per month, to add, however, that “over 2,900,000 euros they went for the “Other Man”, because I lived there”.
According to the same allegations, of this money, 100,000 euros were for personal expenses. “When, for example, I went to Thessaloniki to cook one day, the next day I paid to eat. I even buy my cigarettes from the “Other Person”” he said. When asked about what has come to light about his passion for gambling, the founder of “Another Man” was content to answer that he has not wasted even half a cent of the euro from the money of the social kitchen for the “fruits”. . “All these years many people came and gave me the money to do whatever I want with it and I made it part of “Another Man”. They have given me 5,000 euros just like that… If I had a passion for gambling and companies told me “do the NGO and I will give you thousands of euros”. Do you know someone who is addicted somewhere and they give him money, not to take it?” he wondered, to say in another part of his interview: “I’m not a saint, but I’ve never been an exploiter”!
