Amadou Seck cannot hold back his tears at the mention of his story. Employed for nearly 20 years at PSA (now Stellantis), he is in open conflict with his former employer for unfair dismissal. The two parties had an appointment at the beginning of the week at the labor court in Poissy (Yvelines).

Joined the automotive group as a temporary worker in 1999, this Senegalese was hired in June 2002 at the Aulnay-sous-Bois site (Seine-Saint-Denis). Brilliant despite a limited academic background, this painter-retoucher quickly joined the Multisite Launch Unit (UML) program assigned to prototypes. He will discover travel, including abroad, and climb the ladder. “I was quickly taken out of the chain, my superiors said of me that I learned quickly, simply with my eyes”, confides the person concerned.

Except that the fairy tale of the one who claims to be “born in a hut” turns into a nightmare the closure of the Aulnay site at the end of 2013. He is assigned to that of Poissy where his problems begin. This is in any case his version, defended in court by his lawyer. “Mr. Seck has suffered continuous harassment, with abject and unacceptable comments such as: Get back on your coconut tree, you’re not at home here… says Maître Marie-Pierre Hauville. He was pushed to resign with daily humiliations. »

“Mr. Seck’s allegations are baseless”

Since his dismissal in mid-July 2021, the 49-year-old father, who lives in Mantes-la-Jolie, has made three hospital stays for depression.

The former PSA employee is claiming more than 400,000 euros in damages and damages. He is supported by former colleagues, including in the upper echelons of the brand. A project manager from the Rennes site (Ille-et-Vilaine) signed a letter in which he affirms that Mr. Seck “was exploited. “Yes, I was treated like a slave,” confirms the person concerned, adding that even his locker with his personal belongings was emptied in his absence.

Stellantis presents a completely different version. “PSA advocates diversity and in this whole file, you will not find any document confirming what has been said or read, pleads Maître Maud Fauchon, the lawyer for the automobile brand. Mr. Seck’s allegations are not based on anything, it’s just wind. »

On the contrary, the council reports four disciplinary sanctions between 2014 and 2021 and seven testimonies from colleagues attesting to verbal attacks by Amadou Seck. “He terrorized them to the point that they were ready to go on strike, assures the person concerned. Society could not sit idly by. The judgment has been reserved for September 4.
