A statue of Messi holding the World Cup was installed at the headquarters of CONEMBOL, the Latin American football association. Messi’s statue was installed in the Latin American football capital along with Brazilian legend Pelek and Argentina’s superstar Maradona.
The installation of the statue of Messi holding the World Cup trophy is a well-deserved recognition given to Messi, who led Argentina to the world title by scoring two goals in the Qatar World Cup final.
After the unveiling of the statue, Messi said that he had achieved everything from football and thanked God for it.

“We are getting appreciation from different parts of the world. They are happy for us. And that includes people we don’t even know. My dream was to become a professional footballer.
In the meantime I have had to face many failures. But my dreams finally came true. Ball is the most beautiful thing in the world. It can do wonders,’ added Messi.
Meanwhile, Messi’s contract at PSG expires in June and will become a free agent if his contract is not renewed before then.
In that case, there are reports that Inter Miami, Al Hilal and Barcelona are in the field to acquire the player.
