IAC DOCTORAL STUDENTS, FIRST MEETING

On April 27, 2023, the first meeting of IAC PhD students from the Public University of Vizcaya (UPV-EHU), specializing in Fine Arts of Leioa, took place. From six to eight, and in the space provided for the occasion, Bulegoa Z/B from Bilbao began the journey of this group, in person and through networks on Instagram and YouTube, for those who could not attend in person, with some Common objectives: communicate, get to know each other, share and collaborate with experiences and training on the period of doctoral students. This initiative was born last year by Alexia Sayago and Eva Balmisa, Doctorandas SA
They reminded the attendees of the existence of other similar groups in other universities such as the Autómoma de Madrid, which is under construction, and the Complutense de Madrid. In this case, the group is promoted by Ander López and Alexia.
The conference that was held afterwards was carried out by Eva Balmisa and José Eizaguirre on the discord.com platform. The account was provided to the attendees to activate themselves in the space and share theoretical and practical information and events. The contents, for the moment, are dumped by Natxo Rodríguez, and it is expected that any of the attendees can see them and share theirs. For the next meeting, which will be on May 25, 2023 at six, it is intended that it be in building 2, second floor, technology classroom, and that it also be used as a space for doctoral students. The conveners request collaboration for the conferences, regardless of the university of origin or reference. The only request is that the time frame be homogeneous, half an hour long. They hope that the group will continue and form part of a great chain of solidarity that will alleviate our problems from now on.
