In this 25-minute long audio clip, Rupa talks to Mysore RTI activist N Gangaraj. Gangaraju also said that Rupa did not say that she had asked the authorities to transfer her husband from the department. Rupa alleges that while Sindhuri was Mysore DC, she had some dispute with JD(S) MLA Sa Ra Mahesh and had filed a case against Gangaraju Mahesh which ended in a settlement recently. Rupa also alleged that IAS officer Captain P Manivannan facilitated a meeting between Sa Ra Mahesh and Sindhuri in Belagavi during the winter session of the state legislature in December.

A defamation case was filed against Mahesh Sindhuri on September 22 last year for allegedly defaming the JD(S) leader by making allegations of land grabbing. But Gangaraju had also lodged a complaint against the MLA alleging involvement in the land grabbing. Roopa told Gangaraju over the phone that Sindhuri was using you to investigate Sa Ra Mahesh. But Gangaraj denied this.

The fight between the officials started last Saturday when 19 charges were leveled against Rupa and Sindhuri, including allegations of corruption. Some private pictures of IPS officer D Rupa and IAS officer Rohini Sindhuri were released on Sunday. Roopa had also alleged that Rohini had sent these pictures to three male IAS officers.

But Rohini Sindhuri came directly to the scene in response to this. Through an official media statement, Rohini said that Rupa is running a false and personal abuse campaign against her. Sindhuri’s husband Sudhir Reddy also filed a police complaint against Rupa for allegedly defaming her. At the same time, Rupa filed a complaint with Chief Secretary Vandita Sharma demanding an inquiry into the allegations against Sindhuri.
