ICC releases Women’s T20I rankings, Jemimah climbs

The International Cricket Council has released the women’s T20 batting rankings yesterday. India’s Jemima Rodrigues has moved up the rankings in the ongoing Asia Cup with a brilliant batting display in the opening match against Sri Lanka.

Jemima has moved up to the 8th position with 641 rating points. Smriti Mandhana is at 3rd position (717 rating point) and Shabali Verma is at 7th position (648 rating point) in this ranking. Australian Beth Mooney retains the top spot. At number 2 is another Australian Meg Lanning.

In the Women’s Asia Cup match against the United Arab Emirates yesterday, Jemima played well and scored 75 runs off 45 balls. It is noteworthy that the Indian team won the match by 104 runs.
