Ice cream is a favorite treat for both children and adults. According to an audit conducted by the Israeli Consumer Council, ice cream has increased in price by an average of 6 percent in supermarkets over the past year. But many sales are also made by specialized cafes.

It has become known in which chain the summer delicacy is the cheapest. This is reported by the publication Walla.

Director of the Israeli Institute for Retail Research Hezi Gur-Mizrahi reported that the price difference is measured in double digits. For example, one scoop of ice cream in the Othello chain of cafes will cost customers 23 shekels, while Jet Lag is cheaper – 19 shekels. You can also save money and buy 0.5 or 1 kilogram of the delicacy. Although there is also a significant gap in prices here. In the Othello cafe, a 1-kilogram pack of the delicacy costs 120 shekels, and in La Gofre – 105 shekels.

Many people buy ice cream in supermarkets in the summer. One of the most popular is “Cremissimo”. In the Carrefour chain, a 1.33-kilogram package of it can be purchased for 14 shekels, and in “Machsanei Ha-Shuk” – almost 25 shekels. That is, the difference is almost 80 percent.

“Kursor” wrote earlier that since July 1, products from the company “Osem” – one of the largest manufacturers in our country – have become more expensive in Israel. The new price list, which provides for an increase in the cost of goods by 2.2 percent, has come into force.

We also wrote that public transport fares for Israelis increased from July 1. Citizens were told more details about the new tariffs.
