At the end of a perfectly mastered match, Grenoble won the title of French ice hockey champion by beating the Ducs d’Angers 5 to 1 (1-1, 1-0, 3-0) in the match. 5 of the Magnus League final, Wednesday in their ice rink. This is the 8th national coronation for the Burners of wolves, the nickname of Grenoble.
They won the series four wins to one (5-2, 1-3, 5-4 on pens, 3-2 on pens, and 5-1).
In this last round, contested in front of 4,000 spectators, it was the Angevins who opened the scoring through Maurin Bouvet. A short-lived joy as the Isérois react quickly and start a real offensive festival by scoring five goals by Nicolas Deschamps, author of a double, Adel Koudri, Sacha Treille and Joël Champagne.
Grenoble had already finished top of the regular season ahead of Angers (2nd) and Rouen (3rd). The Grenoble club, already titled in 1981, 1982, 1991, 1998, 2007, 2009 and 2019, succeeds the winners in Rouen, eliminated by Angers in the semi-finals (4 wins to 3).
