Ice hockey fans can follow the international matches of the German national team including the Germany Cup until 2028 on the online channel MagentaSport.

Telekom announced that the contract with the German Ice Hockey Federation (DEB), which runs until 2024, has been extended ahead of schedule. Accordingly, the station will also broadcast the tournaments of the women’s national team, the U18 and the U20 selection in the future.

On April 13th the series of test matches of the German men’s national team begins with the new national coach Harold Kreis in preparation for the World Cup in Latvia and Finland in May. During the World Cup from May 12th to 28th in Riga and Tampere, MagentaSport will show all German games and the knockout rounds. The playoff games of the German Ice Hockey League are currently being played there.

The World Cup rights are currently still with the special interest channel Sport1. In 2022, MagentaSport also broadcast 15 World Cup games thanks to a sub-license. From 2024 onwards, the Ice Hockey World Championships will be broadcast on Sportdeutschland.TV. (dpa)
