According to reports from Wednesday, January 28, the clip depicted an African-American woman brandishing a baseball bat and demanding the agents “turn around” and “never come back.” The video, viewed over 400,000 times before its removal, also circulated in a spanish-language version framing the woman as a school principal. Several key details raised immediate red flags. The short clip lacked any supporting footage or corroborating perspectives, an anomaly given the potential significance of a federal law enforcement presence in a school. A comment left in July advertised an “atelier” for creating films,shows,and promotional content “without ever stepping in front of the camera or pressing record.” the strategy, therefore, is a calculated effort to flood social media with false videos illustrating a fabricated resistance movement.
While TikTok has labeled some of the clips as “contains AI-generated media,” Instagram has failed to provide similar disclosures, raising concerns about the platform’s handling of synthetic media.
