The Colombian Institute of Educational Credit and Technical Studies Abroad (ICETEX) presented the ‘Young Talents 2024’ program, an initiative aimed at providing financial support to visual artists, painters, actors, musicians, filmmakers, writers and students of science, technology , engineering and mathematics (STEM) to take programs abroad.

With an investment of $12,000 million, the program offers 100% forgivable loans so that talented young people can access short courses and master’s degrees in various countries around the world, in fields related to art, culture and STEM disciplines.

«We have thousands of artists and scientists eager to achieve their goals.. We are very proud to be able to support the dreams of our talented youth with the Young Talents 2024 call for master’s studies and short courses abroad,” said Patricia Abadía, president (e) of ICETEX.

The program provides the opportunity to study in countries such as Spain, France, Germany, Japan, United Kingdom, Mexico, Ecuador, Chileamong others, where students can specialize and enrich their knowledge in their areas of interest.

The beneficiaries of the program will receive financial support for their studies, with amounts of up to 25,000 USD for in-person master’s degrees, 16,000 USD for short in-person courses and 10,000 USD for virtual courses, in disciplines related to art, culture, science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

In addition, young talents will be able to choose from a wide range of fields of studywhich include visual and plastic arts, applied arts, performing arts, music, cinematography, literature, cultural management, as well as STEM areas such as science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

Among the main requirements to apply to the program are being a Colombian citizen, be between 18 and 35 years old, have not been a beneficiary in previous editions of the Young Talents program, meet the requirements established in the ICETEX educational credit regulations, among others.

The ‘Young Talents 2024’ program seeks to promote the development of talent in various areas of knowledge and contribute to the personal and professional growth of young Colombians, promoting academic excellence and the internationalization of education.
