From this Saturday, July 6th to Sunday, July 14th, around 292 thousand students of university courses and technical and technological programs will take the Saber Pro and Saber TyT exams for the first semester.
These tests will be carried out in a hybrid mode, either electronic or with pencil and paper, at 430 application sites located in more than 270 municipalities in the country.
Of the total number of students cited, nearly 90,000 will take the Saber Pro tests in electronic mode, and 82,000 in the pencil and paper mode. According to Elizabeth Blandón Bermúdez, general director of the Icfes, “these exams are aimed at students in the final semester of professional careers. In addition, more than 120,000 students will take the Saber TyT tests, aimed at those studying technical and technological careers.”

The Saber Pro test is a degree requirement and a standardized instrument that allows measuring the quality of education in Higher Education Institutions. In addition, it provides information to those evaluated on the development of important skills for the world of work. On the other hand, the Saber TyT test is aimed at students who have completed at least 75% of the credits for their technical and technological degrees, and is also a requirement for graduation.
Both tests assess generic skills such as quantitative reasoning, written communication, critical reading, civic skills and English. Individual results can be downloaded starting Friday, October 11, 2024 at www.icfes.gov.co.
