From October 22, 2024 (Tuesday), Drama Choose! “Wingman” (every Tuesday at 24:30) will begin broadcasting on TV Tokyo. This has been officially decided.
The original work is the debut serialized work of manga artist Masakazu Katsura, known for “Video Girl Ai” and “I”s,” which was serialized in “Weekly Shonen Jump” (Shueisha) from 1983 to 1985. Its style, heavily influenced by 80s special effects heroes, has gained popularity among both men and women, continuously captivating audiences across various genres, including anime and video games. Now, to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the classic work “Wingman,” which revolutionized Weekly Shonen Jump in the 80s, the much-anticipated live-action adaptation has been realized with a popular cast and a powerful production team! We will deliver “Wingman” as a drama filled with charming elements, featuring vibrant characters that will entertain a wide audience.
DMM TV will exclusively offer all episodes for unlimited viewing and simultaneous distribution! The first episode will be available for early streaming starting from October 16 (Wednesday), one week earlier.
Furthermore, a 15-second teaser for this drama has already been released! The legendary work “Wingman” is coming back to life as a live-action drama with stunning visuals!!!
