Ida-Viru Central Hospital will hold a Patient’s Day on Tuesday, which encourages all hospital staff to have meaningful conversations with both colleagues and patients to find out what is important to them.

On Patient’s Day, the focus is on patient feedback, whether it’s thanking the hospital staff or pointing out areas and processes that need improvement. It is important that patients talk about their concerns and feelings so that their treatment path is the most appropriate for them.

During the week of the patient from 5 to 9 June, on the hospital page in Facebook short videos will be published in which hospital staff will share their views on what is important to them in dealing with patients and wish all patients good health.

During the patient’s week, questions can be answered in a web notebook in Estonian and Russian that will appear on the hospital’s Facebook page, and then the hospital will review the answers and publish the results on the hospital’s website and on social networks for patients and hospital staff.

On Patient’s Day, June 6, all patients visiting the hospital that day will be offered a healthy snack that will be available near the cloakrooms in different areas of the hospital.

Patient’s Day has been celebrated in Norway since 2014. Since then, this local event has grown into an international event that raises questions about healthcare around the world. In Estonia, major hospitals, including the Ida-Viru Central Hospital, are involved in organizing and holding the Patient’s Day.
