Hurricane Idalia, which will make landfall in the US state of Florida today, is now a Category 4 hurricane on the Saffir-Simpson Hurricane Scale, going up to 5. This is reported by the US National Hurricane Center. The storm with wind speeds of more than 200 kilometers per hour is now classified as a “severe hurricane”.
