Identification of 340 black spots on national roads (M. Baraka)
Rabat – The Minister of Equipment and Water, Nizar Baraka, stressed, Tuesday in Rabat, that the national roads include many sections that experience frequent traffic accidents, reporting 340 black spots identified by his department.
In response to an oral question in the House of Councillors, Mr Baraka said the ministry has put in place a joint strategy with the National Road Safety Agency (NARSA) aimed at speeding up the repair of a number of dangerous road sections and reducing black spots.
Thus, 15 black spots were treated during the year 2023, noted the minister who assures that this operation will continue with the required speed.
Among the achievements made at this level, Mr. Baraka cited those concerning the national road n° 9 linking Marrakech and Ouarzazate, notably concerning the rehabilitation of the section of the regional road n° 413 linking Meknes and Souk El Arbaa over a length of 88 km.
