Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, senior joint secretary general of BNP for the interim government, said that the police force created by Sheikh Hasina should be identified and punished as quickly as possible.

He said these things while visiting the injured students in the anti-discrimination student movement initiated by the BNP family at Sohrawardy Hospital in the capital on Wednesday (August 14).

He said that those who helped the police force from within the government to kill these innocent children should also be brought to justice.

For the interim government, he also said that it is also the responsibility of this government to ban the use of brutal weapons like short guns by the police in agitations and protests. Because today’s interim government is on the path stained with the blood of these children and teenagers. The government has to act as a complement to the people’s wishes – it has to act in keeping with the people’s wishes.

Rizvi said, “Different national heroes of the world leave behind different achievements and we have seen Sheikh Hasina’s achievements while innocent children are crying in the hospital. From 12-year-old children to 16-year-old children to 24-year-old youths, they are still fighting with death in one government hospital after another in Dhaka city. This horror is the contribution of former illegal Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. He armed the police to suppress the voice of the entire Bangladesh to silence the protestors who oppressed the pro-democracy people.

Rizvi also said that this movement is an unprecedented movement. In this movement, the children and teenagers who are thirsty for light have given their all. Getting shot in the leg but with arms outstretched they invite those shots. There is no end to the number of people who have been killed by the police in Rangpur as well as Rajpath alleys in Dhaka.

Rizvi said that this terrible autocratic government created its police force to wipe out democratic forces. In such a situation, I pray for the forgiveness of the souls of all those students who have shed their blood and created an opportunity for the people of the country to breathe free air. I wish speedy recovery to those who are seriously injured, those who are suffering in the hospitals of Dhaka city and all over Bangladesh, those who are restless in the pain of death.

BNP Joint Secretary General Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Anyi along with Economic Affairs Secretary Mahmudur Rahman Sumon, Associate Science and Technology Affairs Secretary Engineer Ashraf Uddin Bakul, Amara BNP Family Convener Atiqur Rahman Rumon, Voluntary Party Organizing Secretary Nazmul Hasan and others were present.
