IDF Soldier Killed and Another Seriously Injured in Cross-Border Fire from Lebanon

Today, tragedy struck as Sergeant Amit Hod Ziv, a 19-year-old fighter in the 71st battalion, Habarak formation (188), from Mash Ha’in, fell during an operational activity in the north of the country. This heartbreaking loss came as a result of launches from Lebanese territory towards the Shtula area. Another soldier in the 71st Battalion, Habarak formation (188), was also seriously injured in the incident.

The injured soldier was immediately rushed to Rambam Hospital, where he underwent urgent surgery and is currently being sedated and ventilated in intensive care.

In response to the attacks from Lebanese territory, the Air Force carried out strikes on several Hezbollah targets in Lebanon today. These targets included military sites where the organization’s terrorists operated, as well as terrorist infrastructures. Additionally, earlier in the morning, multiple launches were detected from Lebanon towards the north of the country, prompting IDF forces to retaliate by attacking the sources of the fire with artillery.
