War in Gaza: Golani Fighters Destroy Statue Erected by Hamas in “Palestine Square”
In the ongoing conflict in Gaza, Golani fighters have taken a powerful stand against Hamas by destroying a statue erected by the terrorist organization in “Palestine Square.” The statue, which glorified the APC disaster that occurred in Operation “Tzuk Eitan” in 2014, was targeted by the fighters, sending a clear message to Hamas.
The destruction of the statue comes as a response to the ongoing conflict, with soldiers in the unit determined to make their mark in the battle. “They are having a field trial,” said a soldier in the unit, emphasizing the determination and strength of the fighters.
The statue, which showed a fist coming out of an APC and three disks, one of which had the name of the late Oron Shaul – whose body is held by Hamas, ignited fury within the 13th Battalion. In a statement, the commander of the battalion expressed their strong stance against Hamas, stating that wherever such a statue is erected, the battalion will come and destroy it.
The destruction of the statue is just one aspect of the ongoing conflict, with recent casualties reported. Captain Yarin Gahli, 22 years old, and Capt. (Res.) Nathaniel Silberg, 33 years old, were both killed in battle in the southern and northern Gaza Strip, respectively.
In addition to the casualties, a raid carried out by the fighters of the 401st Brigade’s Brigade Combat Team resulted in the capture of terrorists from Hamas and GAP, along with the killing of many terrorists during the fighting.
