In a night activity between Wednesday and Thursday in Tulkarm, three soldiers from the MGB (Mobile Grenade Brigade) were seriously injured and two others sustained minor to moderate wounds, after being hit by a grenade thrown at them upon leaving the scene. The activity, which also involved navy soldiers, saw the throwing of explosives at the forces who responded with fire.

The IDF’s assessment suggests that one of the fighters threw the hand grenade prematurely, catching the other fighters off guard and allowing one of the Palestinian militants to return the grenade. The injured soldiers were swiftly transported to Bilinson Hospital, with one in a serious condition undergoing surgery.

“Our soldiers acted this morning with courage and determination to counter terrorism in Judea and Samaria,” said Border Guard Commander Brik Yitzhak. “We will continue to work in joint forces with the security agencies to counter terrorism and protect the citizens of Israel.”

In Gan Ner within Gilboa, an unusual incident occurred as gunshots were heard. The IDF quickly mobilized and launched searches in the territories of the Palestinian Authority. Simultaneously, rockets were launched from Gaza towards the sea, triggering a red alert in nearby settlements.

Meanwhile, in the vicinity of the village of Singil in the Binyamin division, terrorists targeted vehicles of Israeli citizens by throwing stones. One Israeli citizen sustained injuries but did not require medical treatment. In response, another Israeli citizen fired shots. IDF forces were dispatched to the scene, while the incident is currently under investigation.

Dr. Alon Nevet, Deputy Director of Bilinson Hospital, provided an update on the condition of the wounded soldiers from the Tulkarm incident. One soldier sustained minor injuries, while the other remains in a serious condition and is undergoing surgery. Additional updates will follow.

Yossi Dagan, head of the Samaria Council, praised the resident who reported the shooting of Avni Hefetz, stating, “There was a great miracle here, our resident was riding a scooter when the terrorists ambushed him at the intersection and opened fire. I commend the resident for their resourcefulness in alerting the security forces and aiding in the swift capture of the terrorist before any further harm could be inflicted on Israelis. I also salute the heroic IDF soldiers who eliminated the terrorists.”

As the situation in Judea and Samaria remains tense, the IDF continues to assess and respond to various security threats, working closely with other security agencies to ensure the safety of Israeli citizens.
