The French Football Federation (FFF) has demanded an explanation for the player’s refusal to take part in the match against Montpellier.
The statement added that Guy’s action could not be seen as an anti-LGBTQ stand alone and that the actor was supporting the segregation of different sections of society by staying away from such an organized act.
Although Guy has not yet commented on his departure, Senegal’s teammates Premier League side Cheyenne Coyote and Ismailia Sar and the Senegalese president have come out in support of the player. They say the star’s beliefs should also be respected.
