jpnn.comJAKARTA – The National Standardization Agency (BSN) is working with the Indonesian Software Testing Board (IDSTB) to facilitate certification for software testers in Indonesia.
The cooperation between the two parties was marked by the signing of a memorandum of understanding at the National Quality Infrastructure Festival at the Assembly Hall of the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC) on August 12-13, 2024.
BSN’s Main Secretary, Donny Purnomo welcomed the cooperation with IDSTB. The presence of IDSTB will help the government in developing quality applications in terms of performance and security.
“I feel like I found the team I’ve been looking for. They (IDSTB, ed.) have an accredited lab for software testing. The timing is right, we are also developing an application,” said Donny at the National Quality Infrastructure Festival, Tuesday (13/8).
According to Donny, quality infrastructure in the digitalization sphere is very important. This means that before the application will be integrated with the government system, it must be tested in detail from the performance to the security side.
“The first stage, we need to facilitate software testers with certification so they can get the same leveling,” he said.
Donny hopes that from the collaboration with IDSTB, in the future there will be a testing laboratory for software and application testing with a wider scope.
“My first hope is that there will be certification for the personnel. One day there may be certification for the application as well,” he added.
