To promote democratic values among girls, boys and adolescents through talks and forums, the Electoral Institute of Mexico City (IECM) signed an agreement with the civil association World Vision.
This agreement seeks to disseminate information among minors on electoral matters, rights political-electoral, citizen participation, civic education, democratic culture, voting mechanisms and migrant representation through different mechanisms such as workshops and courses in order to enrich and disseminate democratic culture.
The president of the councilor IECM, Patricia Avendañosaid that 25 years after the creation of the body, it has the two functions fundamental, which are the promotion of citizen participation and civic education.
Councilor Erika Estrada stressed that the agreement lays the foundations for a fruitful collaboration where both parties are commit to organize and develop various dissemination, advisory and civic education activities.
