In August, the body received the certificates of the Registration and Documentation System for Native Peoples and Indigenous Communities Residentwhere the towns of La Candelaria are recognized, in Coyoacán; Cuauhtepec, in Gustavo A. Madero; Iztacalco, in the municipality of the same name; Peñón de los Baños and Mixiuhca, in Venustiano Carranza.

The secretary of Native Peoples and Neighborhoods and Resident Indigenous Communities (Sepi), Laura Ruiz, said that, since the registration of the five new towns, they considered it essential to meet with the IECM to define their territories, and to do so, they will share information on the regulatory systems of these communities.
