Afghanistan: a government without a program and a people without hope.- José Ignacio Castro Torres
After the US withdrawal from Afghanistan, the Islamic republic collapsed before the Taliban advance. These have implanted, in the form of an emirate, a regime of terror that has not been able to fully consolidate its power in the face of internal tensions and opposition groups. This lack of control opens the possibility for Afghanistan to once again become a sanctuary for various organizations related to jihadist terrorism. On the other hand, Afghanistan continues to be of interest to global and regional actors, who in this new situation have changed their roles to protect their interests. Meanwhile, population survival and human rights have clearly deteriorated throughout the country.
