European migration policy: geopolitics and the principle of solidarity, myth or reality?.- Begoña Ochoa de Olza Amat

Understanding where the migration debate is currently located and the difficult situation requires setting up a previous framework, therefore, the European cultural historical origin will be considered first, as well as the migratory precedents. Secondly, how European geopolitics is configured and, finally, the current situation of migration policy and the relevance of the principle of solidarity will be addressed: not only for cultural reasons but as one of the keys to the vault of the European project and the Pact of Migration in negotiation.
