Javier Miley supported the boxer Angela Carini after losing his fight against Imane Khelif in Paris 2024“If she continued, I would have killed her,” said the Argentine president.

On August 1st, the boxing match between the Algerian Khelif and the Italian Carini took place, from the Round of 16 of the welterweight (66.5 and 66.6 kilograms) in the branch feminine of the Paris 2024 games.

However, the Italian boxer only lasted 46 seconds in the first round after receiving multiple blows from the Algerian, a competitor who registered high levels of testosterone.

The fight, both in its development and its outcome, generated multiple criticisms against Imane Khelif and the International Olympic Committee (IOC) for allowing the Algerian to fight with women, since they claim that there was no equal conditions due to the status of the winner of the fight.

Others showed their support for Angela Carini who, at the end of the fight, said in an interview that she had never received such hard blows and that Imane had strength almost superior to that of a man.

In this sense Javier Milei -president of Argentina- spoke out about the case and showed his support for the Italian boxer.

Let’s see, progressives. Come and explain this… When you point out their stupidities with arguments, they respond by putting all kinds of labels that seek to cancel the argument that refutes them. Then reality appears that exposes them to their imbecility… If I continued, I would kill her…”, wrote the Argentine president on his X account.

For its part, Georgia MeloniPresident of the Council of Ministers of the Italian Republic – dedicated a post on the same social network to Carini in which he said that one day he would win in a “finally fair competition”.

“I know you won’t give up, Angela, and I know that one day you will earn with effort and sweat what you deserve. In a finally fair competition,” Meloni wrote alongside a photo of herself with the boxer.
