Alphonse Putran from Kerala is the director of ‘Time’. Premam, directed by Alphonse Putran and starring Nivin Pali, Sai Pallavi, Anupama Parameswaran and Madonna Sebastian, was a super hit.
He is currently directing Gold with Nayanthara and Prithviraj.
Director Alphonse Putran has said on Facebook that fake news is spreading that he does not want to direct a film with Rajini in this position.

Then after the release of Premam in 2015, as a director I wanted to do a film with Rajinikanth. 99 percent of directors want to keep him and make a film.
One day an article came on the online page that Alphonse Puthiran did not want to direct a film starring Rajinikanth. The news spread fast everywhere. Soundarya Rajinikanth had sent me a message regarding this post.
After the release of Premam I replied that I did not interview anyone. Realizing this, he spoke to Rajinikanth about it. That’s when the issue came to an end.
Now in August 2021 when I was telling the story of the movie Gold to a character artist … he was telling me..when he was talking to a director he said that I did not want to do a movie with Rajini. I was shocked, but it didn’t show.
I feel like this fake news has been bothering me since 2015 to this day. The only thing I want to say is that if I had shot the film with Rajinikanth as I wished, the film would have delighted the audience and grossed over Rs 1000 crore and the government would have got more taxes.
