Mahfuz Ahmed’s village house was also flooded. Local residents have been living in water since last few days. Mahfuz is constantly checking on the family. In this context, he said, ‘The way water has come to Choumuhani, Noakhali, Feni, Parashuram, Chagalnaya, it has not happened to us in this direction. As a result, our houses were not washed away.’

Mahfuz Ahmed’s mother and brother live in the village house. He said, ‘Little brother, his mother lives with his family. Mother lives between Dhaka and Ramganj. Now in Dhaka. Flood water in the yard. If it increases a little, water will enter the house. Everyone is doing Allah Allah. Our relatives live in the whole area. Looking out for each other. I heard that the water did not rise yesterday. If it grows, it can no longer be handled. There are many things in the village. The fish in the pond have been washed away. But there is one thing that is most beautiful in our area, everyone is there for everyone, shoulder to shoulder – that is the strength of our area.’

Mahfuz Ahmed lives in Australia. Now he is in Dhaka.
