Their future was questionable and they took up the protests. But nothing was done.

In this case, a professor of Kabul University participated in a television program. As he spoke, he said fervently, “I don’t need my education certificates from today. There is no more place for education in this country. If my mother and sister can’t study, I don’t need education certificates either.”

Saying this, he requests the host not to tear his degree certificates. But he tears up the certificates. Shabnam Nasimi, adviser to the former Afghan minister, shared the video containing this scene on his Twitter page. He is currently the director of the Afghan Support Group, which operates out of Britain. The video went viral and gained international attention.

The Taliban took over Afghanistan in August 2021. Following the withdrawal of NATO and foreign forces, the Taliban overthrew the government and took over Afghanistan.
