Washington: Former President Donald Trump has said that if he were the only US president, he would have ended the Russia-Ukraine war in 24 hours. The last 2020 presidential election was held in the United States. Trump failed in that. Following this, Trump’s supporters protested in many parts of the United States. The protest erupted into riots. It is considered a great black mark in American history. During those protests, companies like Facebook and Twitter banned Trump for spreading hate through social media. After this ban, Trump started a dedicated social network for himself called Truth Social.
He shared the post on this social networking page on Friday. In it, “If only I had been the president of the United States, the war in Russia and Ukraine would not have happened. If war broke out beyond that, I would have mediated and ended the war without prolonging it for so long. That too I would have stopped the war in 24 hours. But now human lives are being sacrificed in vain without value.”
Already on Thursday, Trump had shared another post about the war in Ukraine. In it, he made a request to US President Joe Biden. In it, he demanded, “End the war in Ukraine. If Russia continues to supply tanks to Ukraine, the war will move to the next stage. It will lead to a nuclear war. First tanks, then nuclear weapons. End this war.” Trump’s comments came as the Biden administration announced that the United States would deliver 3 dozen M1 Abrams tanks to Ukraine.
Earlier, the Russian ambassador to the United States, Andoli Antonov, had also condemned the decision of the United States. In an interview with Sky News, he said, “The US giving tanks to Ukraine is just fanfare. America’s strategy is to bring us down.”
