Jamaat-e-Islami Leader Threatens Mass Sit-in if Negotiations Fail
Rawalpindi, Pakistan – Hafiz Naeemur Rehman, leader of the Jamaat-e-Islami party, has warned that if negotiations with the government fail, the party will launch a mass sit-in throughout the country.
Addressing a gathering in Rawalpindi, Rehman expressed deep despair among the nation, alleging that the ruling class has failed to alleviate the suffering of the people. He accused the government of exploiting the people and destroying the economy.
The Jamaat-e-Islami leader called the ongoing sit-in a ray of hope for the youth and announced plans for a massive public contact campaign. He demanded the removal of taxes on sugar, dal, and baby milk.
Rehman emphasized that their peaceful approach should not be mistaken for weakness, arguing for the political empowerment of the youth. He accused the government of lacking seriousness in negotiations.
