The Jaffna district MP of the Tamil National Alliance (TNA) told Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa that even the MPs could not communicate with the Governor of the Northern Province Jeevan Thiyagaraja. C. Sreedharan appealed.
He was addressing a committee-level debate on ministries in Parliament today.
“I have repeatedly tried to contact Jeevan Thiagarajah, the new Governor of the Northern Province, to talk about some of the problems in the Kilinochchi District. But, he did not answer my calls.
Mrs. Charles and Suren Raghavan, the Governors of the Northern Province, will answer any phone call we may have.
However, I would like to bring to the notice of the Prime Minister that Jeevan Thiyagaraja does not answer our phone calls. ”
