Congress Lok Sabha Speaker Adhir Ranjan Chaudhary has said that he is ready to apologize to President Draupadi Murmu for talking about it.
Congress Lok Sabha Speaker Adhir Ranjan Choudhary’s speech about President Draupadi Murmu created a huge controversy. Today, BJP MPs staged a protest in Parliament demanding an apology from Chaudhary and the Congress party for this.
In this case, Adhir Ranjan Choudhary, who spoke to the media in the Parliament complex today, said, ‘I cannot even imagine that the President of the Republic should be insulted. It happened by mistake. If the President is upset about this, I will personally meet him and apologize. They can hang me if they want. I am ready to accept the punishment. But why drag Sonia Gandhi into this matter?’ He has spoken.
Earlier, he had said, ‘There is no question of apologizing because I have spoken wrongly. I said by mistake. The BJP is stirring up unnecessary controversy’, he said.
It is also worth noting that Congress President Sonia Gandhi, including the party, had said that Chaudhry had already apologized in this matter.
