jpnn.comJAKARTA – Member of the Indonesian House of Representatives from the PDI Perjuangan Faction, Masinton Pasaribu, considers the Regional Election Bill (RUU) to be procedurally and substantively flawed.

This is what made the PDI Perjuangan in a meeting at Baleg on Wednesday (21/8) disagree with taking the Pilkada Bill to the next level.

“PDIP stated that it does not agree with Baleg’s decision,” said the former founder of REPDEM when met at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Thursday (22/8).

Masinton felt grateful that the Plenary Meeting at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, this Thursday with the agenda of ratifying the Pilkada Bill into a regulation did not reach a quorum.

“So, today we know that there is no quorum, hopefully there will be no quorum,” he said.

Masinton said that the Pilkada Bill that was previously passed at Baleg did violate the rules at the Constitutional Court (MK).

He said a situation called a constitutional emergency would occur if the DPR forced the ratification of the Pilkada Bill.

“If this is forced, yes, by ignoring the final and binding decision of the Constitutional Court, we are in a constitutional emergency situation. A just king is worshipped, a tyrannical king is refuted,” said Masinton.
