Sudha Konkara is a director who has won many fans with her films Iruthi Sutru and Surarai Pot. Sudha, who started her film career as Mani Ratnam’s assistant director, has so far directed seven films in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi.
Sudha also wrote the screenplay for Revathi’s Mithra My Friend. Sudha Konkara says that Urvashi is the worst and most beloved actress. Sudha said that she has seen all their Malayalam movies but has not done emotional roles in Tamil.
She was speaking in an interview with Cinema Vikatan Channel. Urvashi was seen in an emotional role in Surai Pot, and the presenter asked how he came up with the idea of bringing him to such a role.
‘I’m a big fan of Urvashi Mam. If you ask me who is my favorite actress today, I will name Urvashi Mam. I love them from a young age. I had called Urvashi Mum to play the role of mother in the movie Drohi. She could not do that because she was pregnant then. But the dubbing of the character was done by Urvashi Mama.
I have known them ever since. She is a great actress. I have seen all their Malayalam movies. They don’t just do emotional roles in Tamil, ‘said Sudha.
Sudha is all set to make a comeback with Surya in the lead role. The film is produced by KGF’s Homeball Films. The film is based on a true story.
