The safari in Ramat Gan reported today (Tuesday) that Sai, a five-year-old red-collared lemur monkey, escaped to the area of the national park near the safari. It was also reported that the zoo staff is in the park and is conducting scans in order to return the lemur to its home yard.
“The hypothesis is that he will look for a place to sleep in a tree in the forest,” reads the post on the official Facebook account of the safari. “It is important to know that lemurs are not dangerous, but they are a wild animal, so we ask anyone who sees them not to approach them or try to catch them. Anyone who sees them is asked to immediately update the municipal hotline 109, or the park supervisor 0537840826.”
