Chittoor: Police’s alco scan van has reached Kozanjampara station limits to trap drunkards. A mobile scan lab van has been launched to prevent accidents caused by driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs. The van is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment imported from America.

Finding out which intoxicants have been used in a way that does not interfere with privacy. Trained personnel have also been appointed for this purpose in the vehicle.
At present, the police can only catch drunk drivers using breathalyzers. But this vehicle has an inspection system to scientifically detect those who are driving under the influence of drugs.
The inspection was led by SHO V. Krishnankutty, Grade SI E. Sunilkumar, CPO P. Rishikesh, officers R. Jayaprakash, R. Riazuddin, S. Kaja Hussain and S. Prashob. Officials said that 35 cases have been caught.
