View wheelchair accessible seats
Are you going to visit a store, office or other institution and want to make sure it is wheelchair accessible? With Google Maps you can easily do that!
How to do it?
- Apri l’app Google Maps.
- Tap your profile icon at the top right.
- Go to settings.
- Select Accessibility.
- Turn on Show accessibility information.
- Once you enable this feature, Google Maps will display accessibility information for the places you select. This way, you can find out if there is wheelchair access, an elevator, a restroom, and other important information.
Public transport
Google Maps isn’t just for drivers: you can also use it to find public transportation connections.
How to do it?
- Apri l’app Google Maps.
- Click the Layers icon in the upper right corner.
- In the Map Details section, select Public Transit.
- The map will show all the transportation options available in the area, including buses, trams, trains and the subway. You will see routes, stops and current departure times.
Location Sharing
Planning a weekend trip and want to reassure your loved ones by sharing your location? With Google Maps you can do it easily and without worrying about privacy.
How to do it?
- Apri l’app Google Maps.
- Tap your profile icon at the top right.
- Select Location Sharing.
- Choose who you want to share your location with (e.g. contact, family group).
- Set sharing time
Find restaurants or gas stations
If you want to find a restaurant, gas station, or other point of interest while working with Google Maps, you can do so quickly and easily. How to do it?
How to do it?
- Apri l’app Google Maps.
- From the home screen, tap Gas Station, Restaurant, Grocery, Bar, or any other category that interests you.
- Pins with selected locations nearby will be displayed on the map.
- Click a pin to see the place name, ratings, reviews, photos, and other important information.
Forest fire control
Unfortunately, there are areas of the world where forest fires are quite common. Want to make sure you’re going to a safe place? With Google Maps, you can do this easily and without the need for lengthy web searches.
How to do it?
- Apri l’app Google Maps.
- Click the Layers icon in the upper right corner.
- Select Fires.
- A red area will appear on the map to delimit the affected area and a flame icon to indicate the location of the fire.
