This 12-hectare natural gem, nestled in lush greenery, has benefited from an ambitious requalification project, breathing new life into this popular tourist area.

The Al Omrane Fès-Meknes company, prime contractor for this project, orchestrated the work with a budget of more than 10.5 million dirhams.

The requalification of the park was structured around several strategic axes, aiming to create a multi-purpose space combining nature, leisure and culture. One of the most striking aspects of this renovation is the creation of green spaces, designed to accommodate families and groups of friends looking for relaxation.

Hiking and outdoor sports enthusiasts are not left out, with the creation of walking circuits and facilities dedicated to ecological sport.

One of the innovations of the project is the introduction of equestrian tracks and trails. This initiative opens new perspectives for horse riding enthusiasts, offering a unique experience of discovering the park to the rhythm of the hooves.

The cultural and artisanal dimension has not been neglected, with the development of exhibition points dedicated to local products and local crafts. These spaces constitute a showcase for the region’s artisans, allowing visitors to discover and acquire authentic creations.

Water, a central element of the park, is also the subject of particular attention. The creation of natural and artificial waterways should bring a touch of freshness and serenity to the entire site. Furthermore, the development of a natural water source constitutes one of the strong points of this renovation. This source, now highlighted, attracts many visitors who come to enjoy the benefits of Ain Vittel water.

The biodiversity of the park has been enriched thanks to the diversification of trees and natural plants.

The first feedback from visitors is enthusiastic, particularly from Moroccans living abroad (MRE) who came with their families.

In a statement to MAP, Guizlane highlighted the particular appeal of Ain Vittel park in Ifrane for visitors looking for summer coolness. This MRE from France highlighted the striking temperature difference: “It’s a real climatic refuge. Here, we enjoy a much more pleasant temperature, with at least 10 degrees less compared to neighboring cities like Fez. or Meknes.”

She also wanted to acknowledge the warm welcome of the local population, which greatly contributes to the charm of the place. Guizlane was particularly enthusiastic about the traditional aspect of the layout of the kiosks dedicated to the marketing of local products.

According to her, “these spaces are perfectly integrated into the landscape and offer an authentic showcase of local crafts and flavors. It is a great way to promote the heritage of the region while offering visitors an immersive experience.”

In a similar statement, Malak, an MRE from Canada, shared her amazement at the transformation of Ain Vittel Park. “It’s a real transformation,” she said enthusiastically.

“The new walking routes are a real pleasure to walk, offering varied perspectives on the natural beauty of the site.” Malak particularly insisted on the impeccable cleanliness of the park while welcoming the notable improvement in terms of activities offered, noting the diversity of options now available for visitors of all ages.

Practical aspects have not been neglected, with the creation of car parks, facilitating access to the site for motorized visitors. A stable was also built, completing the park’s equestrian offering.

Omar Serraj, president of the association for equestrian and mountain tourism in Ain Vittel, underlined the inclusive nature of the project, welcoming the establishment of a modern stable.

“This initiative demonstrates real consideration of all stakeholders in the park,” he said. “The space dedicated to our association’s horses now allows us to protect our animals from intense sunburn in summer and bad weather in winter.”

Serraj stressed that this attention to animal welfare not only contributes to improving the working conditions of equestrian tourism professionals, but also to enriching the visitor experience by ensuring healthier mounts.

With this requalification project, the Ain Vittel natural park in Ifrane has now established itself as an essential destination for nature lovers and families looking for freshness and relaxation.
