II edition of ‘Dancing in Silver’ in Aracena (Huelva) and Fuentes de León (Badajoz)

The second edition of Dancing in Silverdays of dance creation in Andalusia and Extremadura, will have Verbena of Cía. Long time (Daniel Rosado) in Aracena (Huelva) and Have to Pay of the flamenco dancer Sara Jimenez in Fuentes de León (Badajoz).

Dancing in Silver is organized by the PAD Andalusian Association of Dance Companies and Professionalsin collaboration with the General Directorate of Cultural Industries of the Ministry of Culture and Sports with the coordination of Trans-Form Cultural Production and the support of the municipalities of Aracena (Huelva) and Fuentes de León (Badajoz). And its objective is to publicize and value the role of artist residencies within the creation process as a support model for professionals, as well as taking these creative dance projects al rural worldinvolving its neighbors and groups, strengthening the links and professional synergies already started last year between Andalusia y Estremadura.

The residency in Aracena will take place from February 16 to 25 at the Aracena Theatercon Verbena from Cía Lamajaraof the dancer from Huelva daniel rosado.

It is a project that wants to work looking at the different models of traditional festivities that tend to take place culturally, to analyze them, observe their narratives and reinterpret them with a current look.

And also a professional conference with speakers and trainers of Andalusia, Estremadura y United Kingdomwith the special participation of the cultural manager Ralph Listerwhich will present the British project Rural Touring and the European Sparse, with the aim of exchanging experiences that activate the dance program in these two regions. Also during the stay in Aracena, a mission of prospecting through the Sierra in search of spaces for dance in the rural world.

Badajoz municipality Sources of Leon was part of the prospecting visits to the territory carried out in the first edition of Dancing in Silver in 2022. Now it will be the place of work and inspiration for the flamenco dancer from Granada Sara Jimenez during his artistic residence between March 13 and 22.
