The finals of the Women’s and Men’s Water Polo Cup were held this evening (Saturday) at the national pool at the Wingate Institute. In the spotlight: Hapoel Yakneam won the State Cup for women for the fourth time in a row, and Hapoel Kiryat Tivon won the State Cup for men.
The first game of the evening was the women’s final, where Yakneam met ASA Tel Aviv. When at the end of a balanced and close game, the Mikneam team finished with their hands on top with a 10:13 victory. Likneam scored: Carmel Rahum 4, Nofer Hochberg 3, Shonit Strugo 2, Noga Levinstein 2, Carmel Arbiv Yahav Farkash Shear 21. In the men’s final, Kiryat Tivon faced ASA THA, and like the women, the game was quite balanced, until Yoav Randler came up with a critical hat trick that decided the match in favor of Tivon, who won 8:11.
