Un book with stickers to attach, a decidedly vintage format to convey knowledge of the territory with the added value of enhancing sharing and exchange, a common practice, after all, to all fans of the genre. «Il FantaFolletto – The stickers of Salento», created by Behave Adv, a communication & marketing agency, for Edizioni Coop. Espera is much more than an album, it is a real book to familiarize yourself with the history of art and with the traditions of one of the most iconic areas of Puglia. Aimed at primary school children, it has the dual objective of promoting accurate literacy regarding the local heritage and its enhancement and protection. Generated by the hand of the illustrator Francesca Cosanti, the two characters of the story, Nina, a witty little girl with braids, and Giorgio, her companion with an exuberant carrot tuft, must capture the elf Lu Laurieddhu who goes crazy between the Ionian and the Adriatic, traveling all over the Salento.

Mentor in spite of himself, the goblin with the red hood forces the two little adventurers, his pursuers, to look carefully at the context and evaluate every detail, comforted by an agile text. Nothing escapes the raid: of the Baroque Lecce, of the Cerrate abbey, passing through the fòcara di Novoli, through the Grecìa Salentina or through the many churches, the natural oases, the coastal towers, the squares, the music and the gastronomic specialties of populous province of Lecce. To allow the areas examined to be memorized and to provide in-depth paths, each chapter ends with a series of games, quizzes, anagrams, riddles, crosswords and curiosities. There are many strengths of the precious little volume: clear writing, cultured and never banal contents, an attractive and referential design in ensuring the correct readability of the places but also in declining lights and peculiarities of the landscapes in a soft line, seasoned with a colorful color gamut. All with appropriate free spaces to accommodate the legendary figurines. “Il FantaFolletto – The figurines of Salento”, the first of a series that will explore all areas of Puglia from North to South, is a project supported by the Department of Tourism and culture of the Puglia Region, from the Apulian Public Theater and from Piiil Cultura.
