Il Dong Pharmaceutical announced on the 29th that it will be releasing a new advertisement for its fatigue recovery product ‘Aronamin Gold’ featuring actor Son Seok-gu as its model.
Aronamin Gold is an over-the-counter vitamin supplement containing fursultiamine, active vitamin B group, vitamins C and E, etc. It is known as Ildong Pharmaceutical’s representative product that helps with physical fatigue, decreased stamina, neuralgia, muscle pain, joint pain, eye fatigue, etc.
The new commercial reinterprets the slogan that has been consistent since the 2010s into a 2024 version, highlighting the product’s efficacy by showing the difference between days when Aronamin is taken and days when it is not. It consists of two parts: an office worker version and an office version featuring actor Son Seok-gu. Ildong Pharmaceutical explained that the commercial was designed to induce empathy by explaining the reason why fatigue levels differ despite working the same amount of hours and working overtime through familiar situations experienced by modern people. In the commercial, Son Seok-gu appears as a problem solver, portraying himself as someone who blows away fatigue.
The human figure graphic shows the indications of Aronamin for each body part, such as joints and muscles. In addition, the visual effect of energy spreading from the head to the entire body expresses the characteristics of active vitamin B1 (fursultiamine).
Kim Seok-tae, managing director of the OTC division at Il Dong Pharmaceutical, said, “We wanted to emphasize the product properties of Aronamin by focusing on its essence as a fatigue reliever and to intuitively show the effects of taking it through advertising,” adding, “We plan to continue to introduce various campaigns and content that utilize the differentiating factor of fursultiamine, which is easy to supply to the brain.”
