(Quebec) A motorist died in an accident in L’Île-d’Orléans, after he lost control of his vehicle and ended his fall in a ditch.
At the end of the Friday afternoon, the emergency services were called to go to the Royal Road in Saint-François-de-l’Île-d’Orléans, in the Capitale-Nationale region, for a exit from the road involving a single car.
According to preliminary information from the Sûreté du Québec, the motorist has lost control of his vehicle. The car is said to have rolled over before ending its fall in a ditch. The driver, a septuagenarian, was alone in the vehicle.
The man was taken to a hospital in critical condition, where he unfortunately succumbed to his injuries.
The road conditions could be involved, according to the police. The investigation is continuing.
