The victim suffered multiple stab wounds caused by from a kitchen knifeThe incident occurred in the family home in Joliet, in Illinois, southwest of Chicago.
Police reported that the child was declared dead upon arrival at the hospital and that it was the one who called for help the mother of the two children, who said she was in another room at the time of the stabbing.
“Everyone in this accident is victims“, said Joliet Police Sgt., who added: “We always try to understand why certain things happen. These are the answers we hope to get, but we may never get them, because of some difficulties surrounding the investigation”.
