Adviser to the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change Syeda Rizwana Hasan has announced zero tolerance policy against corruption. He said that if any official of the Department of Environment and Forests commits any kind of corruption, irregularity and negligence in conservation and development of environment and forest, exemplary legal action will be taken against them.

Syeda Rizwana Hasan visited the Forest Department for the first time on Wednesday (August 14) afternoon after taking charge as an advisor to the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change. Later, in the chief guest’s speech at the exchange meeting with the officials, he said the above.

Syeda Rizwana Hasan said that the forest of the country should be kept as a forest and the concerned officials should work round the clock to improve the quality of the environment.

Ordering to take legal measures against the existing irregularities in Kataban bird market of the capital, the environmental advisor said that the wildlife crime prevention unit of the forest department should carry out regular monitoring here.
