“I’m a believer; I really wanted Jesus”, says Claudia Leite in Faustão

by time news

The singer Claudia Leite was the guest of Faustão na Band, a program broadcast by the Bandeirantes network during the week. In the last edition, Friday (7/4), Claudinha, as the artist is also called, gave testimony of faith in Jesus after being questioned by the presenter.

“Are you religious? Are you catholic? How do you resolve this side of your life on the side of faith?”, asked Faustão. The singer, in turn, said that she was Catholic, but that she later converted to Jesus Christ, even being baptized “in water”.

“I am a Christian, I am a believer, a real believer. I was baptized in water in 2012, I’m going through a transformation process”, said Claudia Leite, who despite declaring herself evangelical, continues to perform in the secular environment, including at Carnival.

The singer, however, hinted that the “transformation process” she referred to may be related to her own career, since historic evangelical churches do not condone events such as Carnival and others of the kind.

“I found out otherwise… Overnight you became a beautiful, glowing creature,” she said of the changes after conversion. “My choice to be a Christian was from the inside out. I really wanted Jesus. [Foi uma escolha] very conscientious”, he highlighted.

dependence on god

Claudinha also said that it is impossible to go on with life without God, because “you can’t do anything alone”. She also recalled the first time she was on Faustão’s program, revealing that she had burned herself, on her arm, with a curling iron, due to nervousness.

“He said: ‘This woman is going to explode’, here I come all embarrassed, with orange hair – because that day I dyed it for you, and it didn’t work – with a burnt arm, a little limp, but happy”, recalled the artist . Watch the excerpt of his participation in Faustão na Band, below:
