***Cicpc officials were in charge of removing the bodies and launched an investigation to establish the facts
Misfortune knocked at the door of the Campos family, originally from the state of Portuguesa, after a fatal accident in which two of its members, aged 10 and 12, lost their lives after unfortunately receiving a strong electric shock.
The victims are little sisters, whose initials are DVMC (10) and GMMA (12), who were in the patio of their home located in the 24 de Mayo neighborhood of the Payara parish, in the jurisdiction of the municipality last Monday afternoon. Páez, while he was removing some clothes from a wire rope, received a strong electric shock that caused his death.
According to the police report, neither the parents nor the girls realised that the wire rope on which they hung their clothes had come in contact with the improvised power cable in the house, a situation made worse by the rain. Once the Campos sisters made contact, they felt a jolt of energy and were instantly electrocuted.
A commission composed of firefighters, the State Police, the Coordination of Investigations of Crimes against Persons of the PNB and the CCPC, and the Acarigua Municipal Delegation arrived at the house to begin the investigation and proceed with the removal of the bodies.
